The big ONE

My sister, bro-in-law, and nephew came to visit over New Years, and I hadn't seen little Easton since he was a few months old. Now that he just turned one, it's amazing how his charming little personality shines through. He the best kid in the world (well, I don't have any of my own yet, so there's really no contest)! We had a ball babysitting and hanging out with him. I wish they all lived closer!
His favorite part of his birthday and Christmas gifts was the tag on a UGA shirt.
Imagine that..... I hard piece of paper is the best toy out there!

This is his stud look for the camera
Aunt Katie makes the best yummy noises!
He's definitely a well-fed young man.
I'm a little too excited, and Easton's pretty much done with the whole camera concept.
Who is cuter? I really can't judge this one!
I can't believe how much he's grown up already!

Happy First Birthday Easton!  Aunt Katie and Uncle Matt love you!!!!!

It's been a place for me to purge, process, and pray through some of life's biggest changes and challenges. It's also helped me keep distant family and friends informed, but I've felt for some time it's come to an appropriate place for pause. I know that I have many more mountains and valleys to travel if the Lord wills it, and many more personal lessons that I'd love to share and reread to my kiddos one day (and if anyone wants to organize and compile this little landscape into a memoir, please be my guest), but I do not ever want to assume a posture of numbness as it relates to our regular routines.
