Showered in love

I am SO blessed to have so many people love on me. Matthew and I enjoyed the warm and sunny St. Simons Island this past weekend as we visited his mother for a wedding shower. I'm so glad my future mother in-law is 1. Amazing and 2. Not residing in North Dakota! What a great place to visit, and what wonderful friends and family members she has. I was not only showered with love, but also with loot! These women were loving, godly, and generous. I am more blessed than I deserve! Thank you Marsha, the six beautiful hostesses, and all the guests for listening to me chat about life and spend an afternoon lifting up the Lord. You are all such a blessing! This is me with just some of the party. I'm the crazy tall one in the back! The beautiful hostesses! God bless you Marsha. I love my mother in-law to be! Matthew was a hit once he showed his second cousin how to make paper airplanes! Who new the concept was still mind boggling! We had so much fun. Thank you to all ...

Love of Love

I love even after seven years, all I need to get excited about seein my man is that it be on a week night! For the big V-day, Matthew and I grabbed a quick meal at CPK (california pizza kitchen--in case you aren't cool), and attended the Picture Show dollar theater, which we ended up walking out of (bad choice of movie---  How do you know? with Reece Witherspoon you probably haven't heard of it, for a reason.) However, the evening was recovered with a sweet Disney flick- The Secretariat on DVD. I love being an old almost-married couple! Simple and sweet.... my two favorite things. Hope you felt the love on Valentine's regardless of your marital status. It's all about loving anyone and everyone! ~Loving CubBuster

Spring? Where are you?

Come on Punxsutawney Phil.... where's my spring!?!?! How how sweet the sounds of warmth. In case you missed the glistening, majestic, unfamiliar, diamond-like dusting of salt this morning, I'll be Katie Couric for you:   Last night in the beautiful North Georgia and Metro Atlanta region, residents experienced a quick-moving storm that dropped less than an inch of snow on the ground. For a recent change, the roads remained warm enough to melt any and all accumulation. Instead, Atlantans woke up to find a perfectly white beauty in their neighborhoods. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on your profession, few schools and businesses needed to shut their doors today. All of the white glitter is expected to melt by the end of the day because of the bright shining star beaming on the area today and warming the rest of the Earth. Enjoy this rare treat southerners!

A breath of fresh air...

So, I've been lacking in my posting due to the crazy life of a high school English teacher also posing as a graduate student, who would like to also star as the leading lady in her very own wedding in three months! Thus, the Coffee CubBuster has been in serious need of coffee lately. It was such a breath of fresh air to go from the crazy barnyard-esque, seventh grade, public middle  school kids, to the less hormonal personalities of my private,  high school kids. What a difference! Each one certainly has its own positives and negatives, but I am SO blessed to experience them both. I also feel significantly blessed to recognize the amazing gift of attending chapel. Although many of these students have been around church-life since they came out of the womb and do not understand the gift it is to sing praises to our Heavenly Father during a school day, I, on the other hand, certainly appreciate the weekly moment of contemplation and peace during such a crazy season of my lif...
