Mr. and Mrs. Clausen

Congrats to Brooke and Daniel! The wedding was gorgeous just like the bride!

The before shot. She was already beautifully glowing for the big day!
Action shot. Calm, cool, and collected. She was born to be a Clausen
B not only had 2 matrons of honor as shown here, but 4 other bridesmaids, and 6 honorary bridesmaids who wore black. She is just too popular.
The was the awesome backdrop put together by Brooke and her dad I'm assuming (mr. crafty) for the alter piece!
The 1001 cranes turned out amazing!
I think this Japanese tradition is worth the paper cuts!
Cranes and twinkle lights as far as the eye could see!
(My folded cranes are the funny looking ones!)
They had a cookie bar- this is why we are friends!
I was asked to help bake, so I made the "Happily Espresso After" chocolate chip cookies as pictures here. Did you expect anything else. They were one of the first ones to go (I'm just sayin)
I am not going to mention how many were taste-tested by the Smith family.
The first batch came out a little crunchier than I would have liked, so the new Mrs. Clausen taught me a trick- stick some bread in a bag with the cookies, and voila! Moist-city.
Brooke's dress was gorgeous, and her mom's veil looked beautiful with it!
I love watching that first dance!
Thanks for letting me share in your day B!! Love you!
Cheers to the new couple!
May God bless you and keep you, all the days of your life!
Enjoy the most amazing journey ever!!!

It's been a place for me to purge, process, and pray through some of life's biggest changes and challenges. It's also helped me keep distant family and friends informed, but I've felt for some time it's come to an appropriate place for pause. I know that I have many more mountains and valleys to travel if the Lord wills it, and many more personal lessons that I'd love to share and reread to my kiddos one day (and if anyone wants to organize and compile this little landscape into a memoir, please be my guest), but I do not ever want to assume a posture of numbness as it relates to our regular routines. I re...
